We have two exciting opportunities for experienced Deputy Regional Director and Regional Humanitarian Coordinator to join our West Africa Regional Management Team in Dakar.
The Deputy Regional Director role is a huge opportunity for a talented person to manage staff and project development on behalf of the Regional Director. She/He will contribute to the overall regional management and representation of Oxfam in West Africa, to deliver the regional strategic plans and ensure programme quality and impact, to have overall accountability for the securing of funds, contract management, key regional resources management, and the line management of OI Country Directors.

The Regional Humanitarian Coordinator will provide advice, support and leadership in the region ensuring that Oxfam and its partners are both ready and able to respond in a timely, proportionate, and professionally competent manner to humanitarian emergencies, wherever and whenever they occur in the region. She/He’ll oversee countries with large humanitarian programmes (2 or 3 countries, depending of the context) and this will require him to draw on his field experience to offer advice and technical support during operational responses – making complex decisions, overcoming potential obstacles and doing all she/he can to build on our capacity.

We are offering a competitive salary package to be negotiated with the right candidate based on skill and experience. Oxfam will meet the tax and social security liabilities, plus attractive benefits (accommodation, medical, life insurance...) amongst other benefits for a fixed term contract of 12 months including daily living expenses.
